BUSINESS MIGRATION

business Business and Investor visas can be applied for by successful people with proven skills and experience in business, investment or senior business management.

Applications for business skills visas must be supported by a well thought out business plan.

Many applicants will need to secure sponsorship from a State or Territory government in order to become eligible to apply for a business or investor visa.

Immigration Law is dynamic and complex. The Migration Regulations are stringent and this is particularly evident with applications for business and investor visas.

Our business migration team works closely with State and Territory governments and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to ensure that applications submitted on behalf of our clients have the optimum chance of success.

Our team enjoys a 100% success rate in this field and we aim to keep it that way!

The Application Process

For the majority of business or investor visa applicants, obtaining permanent residency is a two stage process.

Business Visas

Stage One – Application for a provisional business visa. Stage one may also include an application for State or Territory sponsorship.

If your visa application is successful, you are given the opportunity to establish and/or purchase an interest in one or two qualifying businesses in Australia. The business(es) must be Australian business(es).

Stage Two - After a qualifying period, if you have made a success of your business(es) in Australia and can satisfy the relevant government criteria, you will become eligible to apply for permanent residency.

Moving from Stage One to Stage Two can be a smooth process for some and very tricky for others. We really want to see you succeed in Australia and with your permission, we will keep in contact with you throughout stage one.

We will monitor your progress and will be pleased to introduce you to useful contacts within your new business community such as accountants, lawyers, business brokers and bankers. It is important that you deal with professionals who understand the business migration process and offer the right type of support.

Investor Visas

Applications for investor visas are reputed to be one of the most complicated of all visa applications. Once again, securing permanent residency is a two stage process. Obtaining sound professional advice at the outset will give you a greater understanding of the complex application process and optimise your chance of success.

Our services include:

  • analysing your visa options and advising upon the most appropriate visa for you to apply for
  • preparation of an effective business plan
  • preparation and submission of your application for State or Territory sponsorship (if sponsorship is required)
  • preparation and submission of your visa application
  • liaison with the decision making bodies
  • assisting with your transition from temporary to permanent residency
  • introductions to useful contacts within your new business community, including other business migrants.

If you are considering migrating to Australia as a business person, a senior manager or someone with proven skills in investment, please contact Carol-Ann Lynch, who will be pleased to have a preliminary chat with you about your migration objectives.
