The Investor Retirement visa was introduced to enable comparatively young (55 years and over) and prosperous retirees to spend all or part of their retirement years in Australia. In order to apply for an investor retirement visa an applicant will need, amongst other things, at least AUD $500,000.00 available to invest in State Treasury bonds plus a substantial retirement income.
